An enterprise real-time analytics dashboard replacing a legacy Excel-based reporting system.
The Problem
Nexus Retail's management team was making inventory and staffing decisions from weekly Excel reports — data that was already 7 days old. A slow decision cost them an estimated $200k in over-stocked inventory during one quarter.
The Challenge
The dashboard needed to aggregate data from 4 legacy systems (POS, ERP, HR, and e-commerce) with no shared API standards. Virtualizing tables with 500k+ rows without performance degradation was a core technical constraint.
How We Approached It
We embedded a developer with the analytics team for 2 weeks to map all data flows. A custom ETL pipeline was built before the frontend began. Role-based access was designed with the CFO, regional managers, and store managers separately.
The Solution
A real-time dashboard with live KPI widgets, virtualized data tables handling millions of rows, custom chart builder, and role-based views for 4 user tiers. Time to decision dropped from 7 days to under 30 seconds.
